This was a breath of fresh air. It gave national service members a time away from the environments we report to daily to be around like-minded do-gooders.
Great facilitators! The content of the sessions was very well thought out.

AmeriCorps VISTA members are not required to attend an In-Service Training, but those selected are required to attend the event in its entirety. Before applying to attend, VISTAs should first check their calendar to make sure there are no conflicts and receive approval from their supervisor to attend.
For VISTAs who are selected to attend, the AmeriCorps VISTA program will arrange and pay for round-trip travel to the event and reimburse for approved costs like airport parking.
VISTAs are paired up to share a hotel room during the In-Service Training. The AmeriCorps VISTA program arranges and pays for hotel room and meals during the training.
